Welcome to Supernova Art
This is the official site of Boston based artist Adam Campbell. Adam is a classically trained fine artist who spent his formative years studying painting in the South of France. At this time he was heavily influenced by the works of Chagall, Giacometti and Cezanne. It was at this time he found a true love for the use bold colors and movement to create raw emotion in his work.
Upon finishing his painting studies, Adam felt a lack of structure in his work, and devoted much of his time drawing and illustration. Over time, as he started to incorporate his traditional painting skills with his new drawing ability, his work took on a whole new dimension. No longer could his work be described as either painting or illustration but somewhere in-between. This has become even more the case recently as he is now starting to include digital enhancements into some of his work.
In addition to being an artist, Adam has a strong passion for travel and considers the two to work hand in hand with one another. To him, traveling is a way to reset and open up his mind, while at the same time refueling his creativity tank. On the other hand, he sees art as a conduit to take one to another world that only the artist can unlock.
All of his work is inspired by his travels in one way or another. This can be found in small, indirect ways through his use of color and movement or it can also be seen in his direct interpretations of a certain place or person. However it reveals itself, it’s Adam’s natural curiosity for the world and the people around him that keeps his work ever evolving and expanding into new territories. He sees art and life as a journey and like all journeys, the best parts are those that you experience along the way.
Thanks for stopping by!
